Lateral Drift Load Combinations for Wind

There seems to be a fundamental problem with lateral drift for wind in RAM Frame. Currently, accounting for lateral drift in accordance with ASCE 7, Appendix CC "Serviceability Considerations" requires some juggling. To follow this procedure, one ...

Unbalanced Snow Loads

I would love to see expanded snow loading capabilities that let you apply different load distributions that are enveloped for design. Specifically for gable roof structures, ASCE 7 requires that you apply a "balanced" load (uniform across the whol...

DataAccess for Nodal Loads

We need a way to access and edit nodal loads through data access. It is painful having to manually define and assign all the point loads through the modeler elevation view. Could we at least assign them in frame? Instead of assigning point loads t...

Please don't make me click OK for every inadequate column when generating the column design report.

When generating the column design report, please don't make me click OK for every inadequate column. A summary of all inadequate columns or no warning at all would be sufficient.

Remove 0 stress limit from displayed wall stresses in Frame

When viewing wall stresses in RAM Frame, I would like the ability to set the lower bound above 0. This allows me to set a pass/fail stress test. For example, if I’m interested in 0.163 ksi (which I am), I want to set the upper AND lower bound to 0...

Import DWG drawings to be used as a reference layout in RSS, similar to what you do in Ram Concept.

When you are defining a floor in RSS, it would be very useful to be able to import drawings in DWG formats to be used as a template or reference file to define the floor data. You can do this in Ram Concept.; why not in RSS?

Generation of Wind Load for non-regular building shapes (e.g., C, L, and U shaped floor plates)

We don't see many rectangular structures these days. Would be great if RAM Frame could generate wind loads for non-regular building shapes (e.g., "C", "L", & "U" shaped floor plates). This would be a time-saver having not to hand calculate and...

Option to include lateral triangular loads (earth pressure) on Wall at RSS

The idea is to have the option to include lateral loads on walls at RAM Structural system. There are a lot of projects with underground floors (garage) that have concrete walls to retain the earth around it Gustavo

Add Wood Framing to Ram SS

Please add the ability to model and design wood beams in Ram SS. We design many structures that are a combination of wood, concrete and steel, and including design of wood members would not be difficult to incorporate. It would help RAM catch up w...
